(IsraelNN.com) United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced Thursday that the Obama administration would give $121 million to Yemen to help fight terrorist infrastructure and develop the local economy. Speaking at a Washington, DC news conference following a meeting with Yemeni Foreign Minister Abu-Bakr Al-Qirbi, Clinton said Yemen had to show results in order to keep receiving the American funding.

Clinton noted the common threat of Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula. The Yemeni foreign minister noted his country has taken steps to tighten security, adding that the aid will help further.
